Breaking News English Lessons
They have many news stories -- at different reading levels.
Choose an interesting story. Try reading it. If it is difficult, look at the bottom of the story. You will see two more versions, highlighted in yellow. Try one of them. After you read it, got the the READ button at the top of the page. You can try "speed reading" the same story at 100 or 200 words per minute. Click HERE.

Podcasts
I don't know if these will be useful or not. I hope they are. These are two business podcasts from National Public Radio (like NHK, but in America). I listen to them every week. They are both educational and very entertaining.
The problem is so far I can't find the transcripts.
Click the titles. Select a story that looks interesting. I suggest you read the information on the page before listening. It will help you understand. Good luck. I hope you enjoy them.
The Indicator A short (about 10 minute) story about something related to money. Interesting!
Suggestion: Choose and interesting story. Click the title. Read about the story. This gives you background information. Then click your computer's "back arrow" (<--). This time choose the icon on the right. It looks like 4 lines in a circle. That is the script. You can click the "play" arrow on that page and listen and read at the same time.
Planet Money. About 20 minutes. Very interesting stories related to money, the economy, business, etc.
Planet money also has short videos on youtube. Click HERE. Click CC for subtitles. Make the subtitles bigger:
Click the gear --> subtitles --> Options (top right). Choose font size. Maybe try 200%.
How I Built this. These are interviews with entrepreneurs (起業家). Many started companies that are successful and famous. Most last 35 or 40 minutes. The last 5 minutes or so is a very short interview with someone now doing something interesting. I hope this will help you learn to "think like an entrepreneur."
For me, the biggest thing I learn from these that in most cases, the people are not thinking, "How can I get rich." Instead, they are thinking, "How can I do something new / better / more interesting / more fun." And by doing things, trying very hard (falling down many times), they did become rich and successful. Enjoy.

Do you want to be an entrepreneur?
Some of you want to be entrepreneurs (起業家).
Some of you don't. But you do want to -- and need to -- take a creative view of business. Here are two websites for "crowdsourcing" money. That means asking people to support your new idea or company with money. Usually they get your product in exchange. It is also a way to say thank you. Two important things. Most of these are videos, not reading. Also, they are not in easy English. These are videos to try to get financial (money) support -- mostly from native speakers. So you might want to watch them a few times to be sure you understand. Please notice the creativity -- both of the products and of the requests for support. Let their creativity connect to your own creativity.
These are Indiegogo and Kickstart, two of the most important crowdsourcing sites.
